How it works
Upload free
Upload a photo or PDF of your itemized bill and tell us where you got care. We read every line: codes, dates, charges, and what you owe. Your image is deleted as soon as it's read.
We find errors
We check for duplicate charges, codes that should be bundled together, totals that don't add up, charges without codes, and prices far above benchmark. You see how many errors we found and the most your balance could drop.
Unlock with a card, pay nothing today
Add your email and a card to see each error and get your letters. Nothing is charged.
Send your letters
You get up to four documents: a dispute letter to the provider, an appeal to your insurer, a financial assistance request for nonprofit hospitals, and an authorization form if you'd like us to talk to them for you.
Follow up
We remind you at 7, 14, and 30 days to check for a response, and tell you what to do next.
Upload your final bill
When the dispute is settled, upload your final Explanation of Benefits or statement. We check it against your original bill.
Pay only if you saved
If your balance went down, we email you the math. At least 10 days later we charge 25% of the savings to your saved card, unless you tell us something looks wrong. No savings, no fee. If we don't get your final document within 90 days, the case closes with no fee.
Questions
- Is this legal advice?
- No. We're not a law firm. We review bills and prepare letters you send yourself. For legal advice, talk to a licensed attorney.
- What counts as savings?
- The difference between what you owed on the bill you uploaded and what you owe on your final statement or EOB. Payments you made, and insurance payments on claims that were still pending, don't count.
- I have insurance. Can this still help?
- Yes. Errors on the provider's bill can raise what you owe after insurance. Some corrections lower the insurer's share instead of yours, so our estimate is an upper bound.
- I'm not in the US.
- UK, Australian, and Canadian bills get letters citing local consumer law where it applies. For other countries we check for duplicates and math errors. If you were treated in the US, choose United States.
